HASLEMERE
DECORATIVE & FINE ARTS SOCIETY

HDFAS was founded in 1971 and we currently have nearly 300 members.

Meetings take place at Haslemere Hall (see venue) on the 3rd or 4th Tuesday of each month, September to June, at 2.00 for 2.15pm and include coffee, tea and biscuits in the Hall Annexe afterwards. We also have occasional evening meetings.

Lecturers are selected from the NADFAS directory, chosen for their expert knowledge and also for their ability to present their subject in an informal and entertaining way. In addition to the lectures (see programme) we run a series of study days, which include lunch, and several outings a year to places of historical and artistic interest.

2008 will be the 40th anniversary of the founding of NADFAS
in 1968 by Patricia Fay. A commemorative celebration logo
has been designed for this 40th Anniversary.

A special evening meeting is being planned by HDFAS
to celebrate the anniversay. This will take place
at Haslemere Museum on 6th June.

From January 2008 our Annual Member's subscription will be £30.00, covering all lectures. Subscriptions must be received by January 1st. The visitor's fee will be £4.50. Should a visitor become a member on the day of their visit, the visitor's fee will be reimbursed.

Each year we have a tea for new members. Our very popular Christmas lunch is held prior to the December lecture and admission is by ticket only.
